TSEC Produces 4th annual AEP Conference in New Orleans

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Sally Webb CSEP, CEO of The Special Event Company (www.specialeventco.com), a strategic event and meeting management company, has announced that the company will produce the fourth annual Academic Event Professional Conference, AEP 2010, scheduled for Monday, Jan. 11 at the New Orleans Marriott at the Convention Center, located at 859 Convention Center Blvd. in New Orleans, La.  Developed by Webb and run by The Special Event Company, AEP 2010 (www.academic-planner.com) will take place on the first day of The Special Event Show (www.thespecialeventshow.com), and will address the need for event education and networking within the event market sector by providing a forum with leading campus planners and event industry speakers.

“We are proud to be a part of The Academic Event Professional Conference,” said Webb.  “AEP 2010 is a fantastic way for industry professionals to continue their education, while expanding their networks.  Since our inaugural AEP in 2007, more than 300 campus planners from more than 60 colleges and universities have been provided with outstanding educational and networking opportunities.  We look forward to continued success at AEP 2010.”

The AEP Conference received a 2008 International Special Events Society (ISES) ESPRIT Award for Best Industry Contribution, and continues to receive high marks from university attendees throughout the country.

About 100 people from universities around the United States typically attend the program.  Attendees will receive Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) credits for their participation.

AEP 2010 will feature a Collateral Exhibition, an opportunity for attendees to bring examples of creative, budget conscious or innovative event materials and collaterals they have used and/or developed to share with their peers.
