The Special Event Company Recieves EVIE Award for Best Team Effort
Research Triangle Park, NC – April 13, 2011 - The Special Event Company (TSEC) is honored to have received the EVIE Award from the International Special Events Society (ISES) for Best Team Effort for the Opening Patron’s Gala at the Mint Museum Uptown Charlotte. The winning team comprised 5 companies’ including: Mint Museum Uptown, Mitchell’s Catering and Events, Party Reflections, Total Event Production, and TSEC. TSEC had overall creative development, planning and execution responsibilities for the event.
The EVIE Award is a regional award given out once a year by the Charlotte chapter of ISES, and all nominees must be a member of the ISES Charlotte chapter. Receiving this award is a true honor because it is judged and awarded by industry peers.

Highlights of the event included an opera diva welcoming the guests in a custom 80’ train, projections of the museums collections on the outside of the building, and a gala dinner on the top floor and terrace of the museum followed by a high tech after-party in the lobby of the museum. The Mint Museum Gala was a creative and memorable experience for the important stakeholders of the museum who included key benefactors and supporters of the project.
