Strategic Event And Meeting Management Company Recognized For
Production Of Concert Recounting North Carolina History
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – Sally Webb CSEP, managing director of The Special Event Company (www.specialeventco.com), a strategic event and meeting management company, has announced that the company has been nominated for a Gala Award, presented by Special Events magazine. The Special Event Company has been nominated in the category of “Best Event Entertainment Concept and Execution: Entertainment Budget Under $100,000” for their production, “Cultural Carolina,” a concert produced by The Special Event Company in conjunction with Dallas-based company Bravo Entertainment.
“We are honored to be nominated for a Gala Award,” said Webb. “Cultural Carolina was a pleasure to produce and we are excited to have our hard work recognized by Special Events magazine for their prestigious Gala Award.”
“Cultural Carolina,” a concert recounting N.C. history through song and dance, was performed at the 32nd Annual Joint Meeting of the Southeast U.S./Japan Association, held in October 8 at the Raleigh Convention Center. The Special Event Company contributed immensely to the conference and planned 24 event components for the 550 attendees, five state governors and the Japanese ambassador.
Members of the Special Events magazine advisory board chose the nominees for the Gala Awards. Winners will be named during a black-tie event at The Special Event 2010 (www.thespecialeventshow.com) on Friday, January 15.
Previously, The Special Event Company received a Texas Star Award in the category of Best Entertainment Concept for “Cultural Carolina.”
